Side hustles … they’re almost universally essential at this point. Our family has one. We sell my wife’s homemade soaps. They’re beautiful, they smell good, and the full effect almost makes you want to eat them. When we’re selling at outdoor markets, bumblebees often come by, hunting for flowers.
My wife and I love the comments and reactions we get from those who stop by our soap table. Lots of little stories from these markets make it into my sketchbook as comics. The below comic is an altered amalgam of those stories and our actual experiences.
It all kicks off at everyone’s favorite place to give a baby goat a milk bottle and buy your dad a bottle of Bud Light.
Here’s another comic especially created by Micah for Supplement St. Louis,
from his Space Car Blue Book series:

Micah Liesenfeld is an instructional designer by day and a cartoonist by night, but if you rip off those disguises, you’ll find that he’s a husband and father of two who lives in St. Louis. You can also find him on Instagram @micahnova.
Excellent! I look forward to a whole book of Micah’s cartoons. The gentle humor is kinda needed right now. –David Higgins
Funny. And good clean humor.
Your cartoon brightened my day. I laughed out loud at the dollar signs in August Busch’s eyes.
